Pretty Girl.

I've always feel kind of awkward wearing scarves around my head, but I love this look.
Also, isn't this flower pin fun? It's made from a recycled t-shirt. I think the pretty Parisian girl above might like it.

P.S. I thought you might enjoy these vintage photos of people's parents falling in love. They are so sweet!

  4. She is adorable.

My boyfriend stumbled across some Super 8 footage of the dinner party where his parents first met. It was amazing to see them batting their eyelashes and circling each other furiously! We converted it to DVD and gave it to them for their anniversary.

  17. As lovely as this is, I'm too distracted by the Degree Clinical ad to the right. Degree Clinical? What was the marketing meeting on that one like? "We want to appeal to the women who view their perspiration as a malady."

  19. The first thing I thought {before reading the text} was, "She looks Parisian! It seems that only the French can get away with that look...and be totally elegant." I'm with you Joann! But, you should give it a try! :)

  33. Re: the couple photos. I have the most adorable shot of my parents eating watermelon together, at the very beginning of their courtship. They're tan and gorgeous and look like 40's film stars.

  34. I often wear head scarves because my hair is a frizzy mess but the bow is a nice touch I'll have to experiment with. So feminine.

  35. Sorry, but my bangs used to look like that after my mother put a bowl over my head to help her cut them straight. Can't say I find it stylish.

  37. Oh my. I feel like I'm losing all ability to make my own fashion decisions - first I've gone all out looking for silk flowers (haven't found any, any suggestions welcome) - and now, in the middle of a spring clean (6 months too late) I've found a scarf in a drawer and plonked it on my head...

It doesn't look too bad actually - but I'm sure it will slip off as soon as I go outside...

Picture of the girl is from Garance Doré's blog. This particular post has Garance revealing a nostalgic childhood anecdote. :-)
