My New Fall Accessory: Silk Flowers
Last weekend, I went to my first fashion runway show ever. It was nerve-wracking and exciting, but the best part was seeing the gorgeous people around me. Don't you LOVE this girl's silk-flower necklace?! It's gorgeous and would be pretty simple to make. I might try to make one for the fall! (Read my fashion-show post on Smitten, if you'd like.) xo

i love this look...and i think it's crucial to balance out the flowers with delicate pieces like a super tiny belt and a thinly strapped dress.

I always liked the look, especially either one big one or a cluster of small ones in the hair. Alternately, I've seen gorgeous full big silk blooms clustered around one shoulder of a cutaway high-necked halter that looked very sexy yet not overdone.
The only fake bloom I never really like though was that one on Carrie from the SATC episode that's golden and bigger than the size of SJP's head...Proportion matters!

Lucky you! My wife would do anything just to go to a fashion show like this. She works at the viagra online office but her passion is fashion, so maybe I will give her a ticket for the next fashion week in NY.
