Last weekend, I was flipping through the September issue of Martha Stewart Living, when I stumbled upon the RIDICULOUSLY charming Manhattan loft. The lucky owners are winemaker Marco Pasanella, former Blueprint editor Rebecca Robertson and their son Luca. Their house, in a former shipbuilders' warehouse built in 1839, has playful touches, like blue patterned wallpaper and multi-colored kitchen chairs. It almost seems like a children's book, with a giant playroom and stove-that-looks-illustrated.
Don't you want to go over there and drink wine with them?

yes. yes i do.
ReplyDeleteMe too!
ReplyDeletebeautiful! and steal the bed oops did i say that out loud!
ReplyDeletei want to move in with them.
ReplyDeletethey have fantastic taste. so many pieces stand alone for such a dramatic effect. i love it!
ReplyDeleteI do! I am available for wine any time.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I miss Blueprint. So much.
insanely beautiful.
ReplyDeletei LOVE the pair of new york botanical garden prints in the dining area! the light blue (?) frames are a cool surprise. gosh, the entire loft just works on so many levels!
and you're so right about that stove ; )
Very charming...and inspiring, as I have just moved into a Chicago West Loop loft space and am ITCHING to dig in on the decor!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, what a great spot! Congrats on being a blog of note!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous place to stay. My house is such a clutter! I envy them.
ReplyDeletewhat a delightful house!
ReplyDeletei know, it's SO gorgeous, i keep coming back to look at it. there are more photos on the MS website, too xoxo
ReplyDeleteOMG ... Amazingly cool!
ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw this in MSL I thought for sure I was looking at Domino. It is my dream loft.
ReplyDeleteStunning.
ReplyDeleteit looks entirely too good to be true!
ReplyDeleteSimply stunning - I love this loft!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeletewow, I can't even believe it's in Manhattan - it's like a lovely, magical, whole new world.
ReplyDeletei love, love, love this space...interesting, unique, pretty! love that she uses color and pattern so confidently and it all hangs together so well.
ReplyDeleteYes i wanna drink wine with them and once i'm there I'LL take over house and force them give the house to me...
ReplyDelete...ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...
I want my own place!!!!!!!!!! :(
oh how i miss Blueprint...it's no surprise this is her place, it's amazing! so many cozy little nooks to curl up with a book.
ReplyDeleteOh I love it!! So very happy chic!! :)
ReplyDeletei need to get me the sept issue of Martha... and fast!
ReplyDeleteI am in love with the little nacho.
ReplyDeleteThe main thing I love is that for once a loft doesn't look to sterile - the confident use of pattern and soft details is so unexpected but boy does it work! Thanks for your gorgeous comments over at mine too - what an honour!
ReplyDeleteThere are some amazing pieces here and there, but overall it seems way too busy.
ReplyDeleteJust my humble opinion, anyway.
Lovely! I love the repetition of blues and golds throughout.
ReplyDeleteThat's all kinds of wonderful, thanks for sharing it. I surely miss me some Blueprint.
ReplyDeletewaw nice good
ReplyDeletelove these!!
ReplyDeletelovely
ReplyDeleteThe interesting part, besides the fantastic use of a very simple color scheme, is that the look is chic, creative but doesn't look horribly expensive.
ReplyDeleteYou can easily, with a bit of creativity and minimum skills, reproduce it or create something very similar with inexpensive materials and recycled furniture.
That is my kind of design.
It looks like a movie set and I love it! How inspiring!!
ReplyDeleteWOW!! ugh im so missing NYC...and this place is so wonderful!

the 2nd to last bedroom shot...is perfection! I love everything about that room. The height of the bed with the simple bedding on top. Amazing artwork above and of course the perfectly aligned photos on the wall. It just makes you want to curl up with a great book and warm cup of tea.
