Have you guys watched show about 1960's advertising execs and their scandals? I've never seen it, but the friends we had dinner with last night are obsessed.

  3. i have to say that i'm a huge fan, too. the acting, music, sets, clothing, and most of all, the story lines make the show multi-layered and sublime. i even like the ads for the show and the trivia tidbits in between the commercials.

  9. definitely one of the best programmes for years - the sets and characterisation are wonderful. although i second the 'after the wire' remark. nothing comes close to that.

  12. Yes, this is a fantastic show. Can't wait for Season 2 to start, and dearly hoping they rebroadcast Season so I can DVR it (didn't have the DVR last year). If they do rebroadcast, you will want to see at least the last or second to last episode, whichever one they have the Kodak Carousel Slide Projector in, it is the most amazing monologue, and you will need a little tissue.

  19. I love this show. Check out their website because they have an amazing page about the period details and how ever single prop and wardrobe item on the show is period accurate, right down to the art supplies the characters use! That must be quite a job!

  20. You must watch this show - it is fabulous. My sister got me hooked last season...

    I'd recommend watching the first season ~ there's one really intriguing plot with the main character.
