Abbey's Amazing Staycation

Fellow blogger Abbey and her cutie husband Tim recently took a "staycation" in New York, which basically means that they took a vacation in the city, even though they live here. They were geniuses and did the best stuff, including MoMA, the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, late brunches and ferry rides. Check it out here if you're planning a vacation (or staycation) in New York!

  1. This is genius. I love it. Is it weird that there are like 3 hotels within 5 miles of my house that I really want to stay in?

  6. such a great idea! i want to do that, too. there are so many places you never visit even though you live very near. i used to live in bonn, germany, where you can visit beethoven's house and see all his instruments. i never visited before i moved away :)

  7. We do that stuff on a regular basis. I want my vacation to be far away from any city and I just want to sleep, eat, and relax.

  8. one of our favorite things to do is a dinner out + a stay in a fun hotel in town. then we make a point of going to three places in town we've never been...shops, etc...

  16. That's the best idea ever! It's true that when you live in a city you tend to miss out on all the classic attractions it has to offer. I know people here in Paris who have NEVER been to the Louvre!!!!!!
