New Cup of Jo Feature: Home Inspiration Photos

Also, I'd like to introduce a new Cup-of-Jo feature, my dolls!

Since Alex is moving into my apartment, we'll be changing around the furniture, painting the living room (from green to cream), deciding where to hang our art, and getting a few new pieces. Exciting and so much to do!

Over the past few months, I've been putting together a folder with home photos I find inspirational, and I'll be posting a few each day until our house is ready to share with you. Here's the first set...Don't you love well-placed books and photographs, as well as frames that lean against the wall instead of being hung up?

(These photos of Ruth Ansel's picture hangings were taken by James Danziger.)

  1. So pretty. I love the wall of images, not to formal, but still a grouping.

  2. well, i do love frames like that. our mantle has different sized black and white prints with two botanical prints of green seaweed on it, just like that.
but in the pictures you picked, i love how the rooms are all shades of white, grey, black and brown. so serene.

  3. Books and pictures are the best decoration for an apartment. I say that because that's basically all I had when I moved in with my boyfriend three months ago. You two will have great fun putting things together (and throwing some things out as well). It's very rewarding seeing your lives arranged in a complementary way.

  7. I misread the beginning and thought you meant you would be staring a new feature, "My dolls." Immediately me mind jumped to Teddy Beddy, Claire, Michael and sick boy... Oh, those were the (doll) days!
