This might be the most beautiful room I’ve ever seen. Don't you kind of love all the clutter?

  1. Oh I love the deep colors mixed with bright whites! And I really am drawn to those adjoining rooms with patterned walls!

  2. I like it, especially because its a room you can live in, I hate those museum houses where nothing can be moved around and it just ends up stuffy.

  7. i love the clutter, especially in organized piles in a great big open room. it reminds me of my childhood piano teacher's house. the mix of modern and baroque elements is very nice.

  9. I'm totally loving this trend in rooms with "stuff." No matter how hard I try, I will always have clutter, so this just seems more real.

  13. snobber is so right..."organized clutter" is the way to go...love the paintings above the door and the gaetano pesce la michetta (?) sofa section...it's so easy to succumb to collyer brother's syndrome if you are a design junkie...but this room demonstrates restraint...i suspect a great editor lives here.

    cheers.

  16. I would most certainly categorize this as 'organized chaos,' which I adore for its lived-in feel. I also am going to copy the paintings that are casually laid against the wall of the doorway (though it might not be the safest idea seeing as how I live in earthquake territory).
