Etsy Friday: Ma Petite Amy

I'm not the best vintage shopper. When I go to a flea market, I never seem to find the gems that everyone else does. Also, it smells weird.

So I'm overjoyed at Etsy's growing collection of amazingly curated vintage shop! Here on Cup of Jo, we've highlighted Ramona Vintage, ShopGoodGrace and Ultra Retro (which, sadly, closed recently).

Today, it's my pleasure to introduce Ma Petite Amy, a Vancouver-based shop offering sundresses, 1970's secretary dresses, and blouse-y tops. (She also uses belts to great effect.) I'm obsessed with this shop, and I'm sure you'll love it, too -- just don't buy everything before I do!

  5. I love how she shows it without a belt, because for some reason, I cannot pull off the belt look.

(And I never find good fashion finds in ANY store. I just get frustrated and usually buy a single shirt while someone who will go on the same day will find tons of amazing deals.)

  7. I'm with you on vintage clothing shops - I can't get past the smell either. I always end up buying jewelry or housewares.

It is so nice to browse online instead - and I particularly like how she styles these outfits.

  9. It just goes to show that tucking in a blouse, as well as cinching it in with a belt, truly creates a beautiful silhouette. I can't wait to check out the site!

Thanks so much for this post. I feel the same way you do as far as thrifting goes...I can never find anything and my hands always end up filthy. I just do not have the patience. Gracias again.

  16. Those are really beautiful pieces and I think Etsy is a great place for vintage, much easier to sort through than eBay (& flea markets).
