Return from Mexico

Hello, babydolls! Alex and I got back from Tulum, Mexico last night, and it was amazing. White beaches, crystal clear water, snorkeling...now I understand why people take beachy vacations. Alex swam like a little fish for hours every day, and the food -- margaritas, guacamole, fish tacos -- was fresh and spicy and incredible. It was such a relaxing and romantic trip, and I wish we could fly right back. More photos here...

    Woow! I live there! well not in TUlum, but a few hour from there. This is soo funny. I've been reading your blog since some months ago. But i never write anything 'cause my english isn't very good.
    This time it worth the effort. So happy you liked Tulum. Anytime you decide to vcomeback to Mexico, remember you have a home here (Yucatán, Mex)

  21. omg I LOVE TULUM, I go every year and I always thought it was my secret place hehe! I'm heading there in may/june. aren't the beaches amazing? Did you happen to go to the friday night party at mezzanine? its soo much fun! the pics are great, looks like you had tons of fun.

  26. oh i've been to tulum twice, one of my favourite places. i dream of tulum! so many hotels/huts there now it's hard to find the perfect place to stay...did you find somewhere perfect? would love a tip for next time.

  36. Fofanna, I'm so glad that you had such a great time in Tulum. It sounds nicely off the beaten tourist-track! Wonderful, also, getting Astilla's well-phrased local endorsement (just how far does your blog reach..?). I love the photo of you both in the grotto; I can't stop laughing at your posture and the mask (just as I laughed over Alexei's earlier photo behind the beach binocular in NJ).

    fashion souffle, we heard such great things about the friday night party at mezzanine, and we were planning to go, but then i felt kind of under the weather that night, so we stayed local and took it easy. but the next day, we met a hilarious british DJ who apparently had spun the night before. we were sad we couldn't make it! next time!! :)

    I just read your post and realised that we were in Tulum at the same time! Looking at your photos I think you stayed at the Paraiso Resort, is that right? I miss the great beach and especially the great weather. Back in The Netherlands now and it's raining....

  47. oh, danielle that's so funny! what a coincidence. we loved loved tulum. we actually stayed at Don Diego de selva (in the town) for the first five nights, and then splurged on Ana Y Jose (anayjose.com) for the last three nights. it was so amazing, i wish i could jump on a plane and go back today :)
