Nakashima Chair

I am liking this chair very much. Designed in 1948 by Japanese designer George Nakashima, it was just re-released by Design Within Reach. See the grooves on the seat for comfy sitting!

I know I'm repeating myself here, but Japanese designers and artists never cease to amaze me!

nakashima is so amazing. his life story interesting too. he was a prisoner in the Japanese interment camps here during WWII (even though he was an American of course).

My fave chair of his has rocker feet. Want it. Need it. Must have it. Except cant afford it.

I wouldn't want one of these. I would want a set of four. Would go perfect in my breakfast nook.
