a woman in men's clothing

For some reason, this spring I want to look like a dude. All the clothes I’m drawn to look like menswear, such as this Steven Alan romper and these suspenders from Toast.

  1. I love menswear on women, too, but for some reason trousers never sit right on me.

  4. wow, I was just actually thinking the same thing. I just bought a fedora, a couple of ties and a briefcase on ebay and it made me realize that I've really been in a menswear mood lately

  5. No,no, the song is "Dude Looks Like a Lady," not "Lady Looks Like a Dude"!

  6. That is one awesome outfit.

Strangely, I'm going the complete opposite. I am being drawn to the ultra-feminine! I want to spend all my money on high heels (MARRY ME: http://www.barneys.com/b/browse/product.s?productId=677141&source=category&index=155&prodIndex=155&listSize=444&categoryId=543864) and make up.

  7. If I had to choose a photo that exemplifies my fashion style it would be this one. Identical. (not the model..dream) but the outfit.

  8. Love this picture! I'm drawn to the opposites this season - total menswear or totally ultra-feminine - nothing in between!

  9. maybe there's something in the air... after staring at DDL's pants and boots in There Will Be Blood for 2 hours i decided 19th Century menswear would be my new inspiration. maybe it's all that toughness mixed with a super sensitivity.

  10. Oh yes, me too! I've been wearing oversized trousers with slim t-shirts and braces all winter now, and I definitely don't feel like catching on to the flowery feminine trends of this spring!

  11. i'm in the middle. totally feeling the trouser look, but paired with a fitted tee, heels, and maybe a lightweight cotton graphic scarf for fun. and i'm always a sucker for suspenders. love the photo.

  12. ...menswear is very appealing to me too. it's an easier and more comfortable way of dressing, i think.

  13. I love suspenders! When I was in third grade I wore yellow suspenders to school everyday for three months until my parents had a suspender intervention. I have not worn them since out of fear of becoming addicted again!
