Oh I love art direction, that came out of someones head! how cool, plus, I have always thought G Ward is very beautiful.

i love the colours. and it doesn't have much text too.
good point about the text, chinoise. i didn't even think about how much text it had, but you're right -- it doesn't have cover lines, and that is part of the reason that the image can fill up all that space and look so beautiful. thx for the comment.

a lot of people don't realize that the i-D mark is a smiling face with one eye closed. every model on the cover always has her right eye closed. the fact that they've always done this and continue to do so is fantastic!
